"The outpouring of love and support from our family and friends was heartwarming! They truly made it the best day. I also loved getting all glammed up with my girls and doing a first look with my dad!"

Steven and Gabriella Price

TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY!

How did you meet?

We met as freshmen in high school! We had a few classes together, became friends, and eventually started dating!

How did you know he was “The One”?

I knew Steven was the one when I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.

How did he propose?

We met his brother for a “trial photo shoot.” He said we were going to stage some photos for his portfolio. Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him! It was so intimate and I was so surprised!

Describe your wedding planning process

Did you hire a planner or day-of coordinator?

We hired a day-of coordinator, Jessica Posey! We truly could not have survived the wedding day without her! She was amazing!

Where did you save the most?

We saved the most on our wedding DJ and chose him because he was a family friend!

Where did you splurge?

We splurged on decor for the venue, and it was worth every penny!

Why did you choose your venue?

I have always had a simple, yet elegant, style. Posey Meadows matched that style perfectly! It was so beautiful without being overwhelming!

Did you incorporate any special traditions or sentimental details in your ceremony or reception?

Our memory table was really special to us. We knew our loved ones would have wanted to be there to celebrate, and it was so special to have honored them in that way. We also got our cake from Pennington’s, who has made our birthday cakes every year for the past 26 years! My grandmother started that tradition.

What was your most stressful decision?

My most stressful decision was deciding on a timeline and finding a way to capture all of the important moments in photos and video.

What turned out to be your best decision surrounding the big day?

My best decision was truly enjoying myself at the party!

Is there anything you would have done differently?

Although I heard this advice before the wedding day, I wish I would have taken the time to stop and really soak in every moment. The day was over in the blink of an eye, and it was hard for me to slow down and enjoy all the little details! I also would have carved out maybe 10-15 minutes to go around to every table and take pictures with guests who wanted one! Lastly, I would have designated a bridesmaid to help keep me hydrated throughout the night.

Tell Us About...

Your dress:

My dress was a fitted, lacey, sequined dress with a beautiful lace train! It had dainty pearl straps that could be removed to make the dress strapless.

Your flowers:

Our flowers were shades of blue with baby’s breath sprinkled in. They were gorgeous!

The food:

We had our favorite, Chuy’s fajita bar with all the toppings and sides! We also had chips and dips set up for Cocktail Hour!

The cake:

We had a 3-tiered ribbon-iced ivory cake. It was decorated with flowers from our florist to match the decor and had a cake topper with our last name.

Recap your big day for us

What made you laugh?

Dancing the night away with my favorite people, the speeches, and my nephew as the ring bearer were happy moments for me!

What made you cry?

The night ending made me cry!! I literally sat on the floor crying saying, “I don’t want it to be over!”

What were the most memorable moments?

The outpouring of love and support from our family and friends was heartwarming! They truly made it the best day. I also loved getting all glammed up with my girls and doing a first look with my dad!

Did anything unexpected happen?

Not that I know of!

What’s the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?

My best advice would be to plan to the extent that you feel comfortable, but also know that everything will work out just as it’s meant to on the big day! Talk about what’s most important to have on the big day, and then prioritize those as far as budget and timeline go.

What did you look forward to most as Mr. and Mrs.?

We look forward to moving through all chapters of life together! We hope to have a home of our own soon and start a family in a few years!
