Hideout on the Horseshoe is a beautiful hill country river property. Regardless of the season, the view from the open-air venue is breathtaking. Sidled up beside the Guadalupe River, the property provides the perfect backdrop for any Texas wedding style imaginable. Our inspiration for this shoot was simple. Go TEXAS!  The rustic open air venue and river ceremony sight seemed to call for a mix of all things hill country. Thus, wildflowers, skulls, saddles, and cowboys provided just the right frame we sought to create.

Celebrations Bridal and Prom

The beautiful dress worn by our lovely bride was from Celebrations Bridal and Prom. It was selected for Ashley with help from the friendly and talented professionals at Celebrations. Our models love their fittings at the boutique! The girls at Celebrations make them feel like they are the most special person in the room!

Cavender’s

Thank you Cavender’s for fitting our men in cowboy hats for our styled shoot. Their hats were perfect!

DIY Invitations

Our invitations were DIY! We chose simple with a tad of meaningful adornment.

Lipstick and Locks

Lipstick and Locks did an amazing job getting our bride ready for the altar and the fun with friends to follow! Matt, our groom, totally approved!

While the focus of most wedding styled shoots is primarily on the bride, we wanted Wildflowers at Hideout on the Horseshoe to be about the menfolk in the bridal party. Our groom, groomsmen and ring bearer were happy to help out! In fact, because no bridesmaids were invited to our party, the groomsmen decided to break with tradition and stand up for the bride for a portion of the time we spent at the altar!

Ohhhh, and our ring bearer WAS such a cute little guy! Take a look!

Field to Vase

Field to Vase was the perfect florist choice for this shoot. Trish wove together a bit of the traditional with her “field to vase” magic to create the beautiful floral arrangements found in our photos.

The Perfect Day

The Perfect Day provided all the wonderful decor and signs to develop the cowboy flavor we sought right down to the horse trailer bar set up! Their wooden disk by the river marked the spot for our ceremony site. The simple but inviting place setting at the bride and groom table could not have been more perfect!

Purple Peach Cakery and Sweet Shop

Our cake for the shoot from Purple Peach Cakery and Sweet Shop was a vanilla bare wedding cake with buttercream frosting. It was the perfect size made especially for our micro-styled shoot gathering!

Southern Tapsters

Southern Tapsters, a concierge bartender service, was onsite to provide siganture drinks and of course a cold beer for our cowboy groom and groomsmen.

The Texas Fiddle Chick

Our boot stomping or two stepping music was supplied by the Texas Fiddle Chick! It was a real treat getting to listen to Deborah and her accompanist all day!!

Chase Kotzebue Wedding Painting

To add another fun dimension to our shoot, we asked Chase, an extremely talented wedding portrait painter to come along with us for the day.
