Built in the 1940s as a family home, Texas Rock House has been a place for friends and loved ones to share special moments. Over 80 years later, we are thrilled to be able to share our family’s history with the South Central Texas community.

Outdoor Ceremony Site:
Immerse yourself in nature with our flexible outdoor ceremony site. Surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and a lush lawn, this one-acre open space features rustic benches and a choice of four different arches to frame your vows. For a touch of whimsy, hand-feed our adorable miniature Longhorn, Buddy, and miniature Brahma, Larry. Covered tenting is available for an additional fee, ensuring comfort come rain or shine.
Rock Farm House:
The Rock Farm House offers a cozy retreat with three bedrooms and two full baths, including a bridal room with a rose vanity and full-length mirror. Enjoy modern amenities like a full kitchen, dining table, and wood-burning fireplace, alongside antique furniture and vintage china. Stay connected with WiFi, and make use of the handicap-accessible features. Rent the house for the night of your event for an added touch of convenience.
1940s Rustic Barn:
Our 1940s Rustic Barn combines vintage charm with modern comforts. Featuring AC/Heat, it accommodates up to 100 guests with indoor round tables and assorted farm tables. Ceiling fans, a dance floor, and large porta-cools or heaters ensure comfort throughout the year. Enjoy the large deck, bistro lights, and a luxury double restroom trailer. Handicap accessibility and ample seating options make this a versatile venue.
Groom’s Cottage:
A secluded getaway, the Groom’s Cottage offers privacy and comfort with a refrigerator, toilet, shower, and sink. Unwind at the large antique bar or enjoy some downtime with the TV and Xbox (extra controllers not included). With WiFi and handicap accessibility, this cottage is also available for rent the night of your event.
Ranch Building:
Our Ranch Building features a climate-controlled space with seating for 100 guests. The modular seating arrangement is perfect for any occasion, and permanent temperature-controlled bathrooms ensure comfort. Enjoy ceiling fans and a dance floor in a space that is both versatile and accessible.

I attended the owner’s wedding at the Texas Rock House this year (2019). The house is so beautifully renovated to accommodate several guests and has such an inviting atmosphere! Everything is super clean and gorgeous! The barn is completely renovated and is the perfect spot for a reception and dance on the attached dance floor. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding with the rustic country setting, this is the perfect place. The prices are more than reasonable and the owner is the most honest & impeccable person I know! I would highly recommend the Texas Rock House for any event!

Amazing! Visited late September while looking for a potential wedding venue. We loved the atmosphere and story behind the house. Very cute and rustic feel and wonderful people running the place. You can tell they take a lot of pride into the location and put a lot of heart into their work. At the time of our visit they were working on a groom’s cottage and I love their vision for it. We didn’t see it at night so didn’t get to see full effect of all the lights. But, even late afternoon you can have the lights on and it looks beautiful. Love the open barn.

FAQ About Texas Rock House
Booking
A non-refundable deposit of $500 & signed contract is required to reserve your date for live painting services. All custom painting commissions done in studio require a 50% deposit. Due to high demand it is recommended to book as early as possible especially for peak Texas wedding season in the Fall. Availability is not guaranteed but in the event I am already booked, please inquire about my custom commissions from photographs.
Consultation
A few weeks prior to your event, I will consult with you about the final details of the big day, including final timeline, floor plans, decor, and all the details that you would like incorporated in the scene. Upon consultation I will create a mock sketch for you to approve the final layout of your painting.
Arrival
The day of your event I will arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony start to set up and begin painting.
Painting Hours
I will paint on site live at your event for approximately 5-10 hours depending on the size of the canvas and the level of detail chosen.
Painting Completion
Your live Wedding Painting will be 80-95% complete by the end of the event. I will complete additional details in studio and the finished painting will be available for pick up or shipping 6-12 weeks after your event. For the exception of Clients purchasing greeting cards, they will have their paintings will have an expedited completion of 2-4 weeks post event.
Accommodations
Some venues such as Churches will not allow for a live artist to paint in the interior. In such cases there are limitations at a ceremony site, I will take reference photos of the ceremony and paint live at the reception. Please designate a 5’x5’ space at the reception with access to an electrical outlet and extra chair. To maintain the top quality of your artwork, outdoor painting spaces can be designated if weather conditions are not rainy, not excessively windy, not in direct sun with over a 90 degree temperature, or in temperatures below 50 degrees.
Final Payment
The full balance for live painting services will be due 1 week prior to your event. All custom painting commissions must be paid for in full upon the paintings completion before delivery
Cancellations
Due to high demand, ALL deposits & money paid towards your painting is non-refundable. If you wish to cancel services, you may use any funds paid towards your live painting service towards a future event or custom commission done in studio.
