Welcome to the Gruene Estate Accommodations Vacation Rentals in Downtown, New Braunfels. An outdoor haven has been created to offer ideal wedding accommodations for memories that will last. Choose between the historic Telegraph Station or the beautiful Ludwig Homestead.
About Telegraph Station: The historic Telegraph Station was constructed in the mid 19th century, It’s the original site of the first telegraph office in New Braunfels, and is a Texas Registered Historic Landmark.
Telegraph Rooms: Each Telegraph Station rental, 1 and 2, sleeps up to 4 with a queen bed room, full bathroom, kitchenette, sitting/dining area with a single bed and trundle. Newly remodeled in 2018, the original fachwerk walls have been exposed to show off the Station’s charm.
About Ludwig Homestead: Ludwig Homestead was originally owned by the Ludwig family that ran New Braunfels’ oldest leather and saddle shop!
Ludwig Rooms: The property includes our historic 1900 home and casita, and sleeps up to 12 people. The main house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full dining room and kitchen, and multiple sitting areas. The casita, Carriage House, has two queen beds, one bathroom, a full kitchen, and living/ dining area.
Location: These properties are blocks from the Tube Chute and Comal River as well as shopping, downtown restaurants, and local bars. They also feature onsite parking and outdoor sitting spaces for you to enjoy.

The telegraph station was so cute! It was super cozy and close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough off the plaza that it wasn't busy on a weekend. I'd imagine it's even better during tubing season!

FAQ
Booking
A non-refundable deposit of $500 & signed contract is required to reserve your date for live painting services. All custom painting commissions done in studio require a 50% deposit. Due to high demand it is recommended to book as early as possible especially for peak Texas wedding season in the Fall. Availability is not guaranteed but in the event I am already booked, please inquire about my custom commissions from photographs.
Consultation
A few weeks prior to your event, I will consult with you about the final details of the big day, including final timeline, floor plans, decor, and all the details that you would like incorporated in the scene. Upon consultation I will create a mock sketch for you to approve the final layout of your painting.
Arrival
The day of your event I will arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony start to set up and begin painting.
Painting Hours
I will paint on site live at your event for approximately 5-10 hours depending on the size of the canvas and the level of detail chosen.
Painting Completion
Your live Wedding Painting will be 80-95% complete by the end of the event. I will complete additional details in studio and the finished painting will be available for pick up or shipping 6-12 weeks after your event. For the exception of Clients purchasing greeting cards, they will have their paintings will have an expedited completion of 2-4 weeks post event.
Accommodations
Some venues such as Churches will not allow for a live artist to paint in the interior. In such cases there are limitations at a ceremony site, I will take reference photos of the ceremony and paint live at the reception. Please designate a 5’x5’ space at the reception with access to an electrical outlet and extra chair. To maintain the top quality of your artwork, outdoor painting spaces can be designated if weather conditions are not rainy, not excessively windy, not in direct sun with over a 90 degree temperature, or in temperatures below 50 degrees.
Final Payment
The full balance for live painting services will be due 1 week prior to your event. All custom painting commissions must be paid for in full upon the paintings completion before delivery
Cancellations
Due to high demand, ALL deposits & money paid towards your painting is non-refundable. If you wish to cancel services, you may use any funds paid towards your live painting service towards a future event or custom commission done in studio.
